To provide quality service for the benefit of our "member-owners"
Discover the difference of being part of a not-for-profit financial cooperative when you join Oregon Territory FCU. Our members own the credit union, and as owners they are entitled to the most exceptional, personal service we can offer. Unlike a bank, Oregon Territory FCU exists solely to serve its members. That means more personal service, lower overall costs than at a bank, and online access at a better value. Our Fee Free Checking, with interest earning option is the heart of our transaction products; any fees associated with this account are designed to encourage responsible behavior.
A safe place for your money. OTFCU is a safe place to deposit money, because deposits are insured to $100,000 per individual. The National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF) is administered by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) an agency of the federal government.
Our Story
In 1999 Mar-Po Federal Credit Union, located in Salem, Oregon, and Oregon Trail FCU, located in The Dalles merged to become Oregon Territory FCU, serving seven counties in Oregon. In July 2000, we extended our branch operations to Maupin, Oregon, located 40 miles southwest of The Dalles. The community of Maupin had been without banking services for two years. Early in 2007 The Dalles Branch on Walnut Street closed and moved in to our new building in the Cascade Shopping Center.
Join Us
It’s easy to join. There is no membership fee. The only requirements are that you fill out a short information card, and open a savings account with a minimum deposit of $25. Your deposit stays in your Share (savings) Account for the duration of your membership, helping create the pool of funds used for members’ borrowing needs.
